Terms of Service

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using uslicensecheck.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

USLicenseCheck aggregates professional and occupational licensing records published by U.S. state agencies and makes them searchable. The Service is an informational tool. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and results are not a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

3. Not an official or authoritative source

We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any state agency or licensing board. Licensing status can change at any time. For legal, hiring, credentialing, or other consequential decisions, you must verify directly with the issuing state board, which is the authoritative source. See our Data Sources.

4. Acceptable use

5. API access

API keys are personal to your account and must be kept secret. We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke access for abuse or violation of these Terms. See the API documentation.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that records are accurate, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, USLicenseCheck will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its data.

8. Changes

We may modify these Terms or the Service at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
