Data sources
Every record on USLicenseCheck comes from an official state licensing source. We aggregate and index that public data — we never buy third-party lists or invent records. Below is each state we cover and a direct link to its authoritative verification portal.
Our methodology
For states that publish an open-data feed, we load the official dataset on a daily schedule and serve results directly from it. For states that publish a periodic bulk file instead, we load the latest published file. Because licensing status can change at any moment, USLicenseCheck is an informational tool — the issuing state agency is always the authoritative source.
